However, this aggressive land grab comes with immediate costs that have left some analysts concerned about near term organic growth.

For those who believe in Adobe’s long term dominance but are wary of current prices, a specific options strategy provides a way to get paid for their patience. By selling a put option with a strike price of one hundred eighty five dollars expiring in September 2027, an investor can collect roughly eleven hundred dollars in upfront premiums per contract. When this premium is paired with the interest earned from parking the required collateral in Treasury bills yielding around three point nine percent, the total annual return reaches approximately nine point seven percent.

The beauty of this setup lies in the two possible outcomes. If Adobe’s stock remains above the strike price until expiration, the investor simply keeps the premium and the treasury interest without ever having to purchase the shares. If the stock dips below that mark, they are obligated to buy Adobe at one hundred eighty five dollars. Because they already collected the premium, their effective entry price drops to about one hundred seventy four dollars per share, representing a thirty five percent discount relative to recent trading levels.

Ultimately, this trade transforms market uncertainty into a calculated income stream, provided the investor is genuinely comfortable owning Adobe at a steep discount. Success depends on whether Adobe’s pivot toward AI and free user acquisition builds a sustainable revenue engine or signals an erosion of its competitive moat. As with any concentrated options play, experts suggest treating such trades as complementary additions to a diversified portfolio rather than the primary investment strategy.
